A
series of brown bag luncheon sessions were held during the
Fall of 1995 in honor of the 25th Anniversary of the Research
Center on Women.
The capstone event was a presentation by Sr. Austin Doherty
on the history of RCW held on November 8, 1995. A fortuitous
coincidence was the Fourth World Conference on Women held
in Beijing earlier in 1995--a fitting focus for the 25th
Anniversary luncheon series. Other luncheon speakers included:
Dr. Sarah Harder, Professor UW-Eau Claire; Marie Kingsbury,
Executive Director of the Women's Center--Waukesha; and
Ellen Bravo, Executive Director, Nine to Five. All of these
women were participants in the Beijing Conference.
